My wife owns a 93 Miata. After driving in heavy rain you can hear water trapped somewhere in the vehicle. While parking the car I can hear a sloshing sound....like liquid, sounds like it's running the length of the car. It's did this before and I dismissed it as a partial tank of gas.
Well, today I took of the door panels and there is no water in the doors at all. All I can think is it must be water running down the back side of the convertible top to somewhere, it's really wierd. The trunk is dry with no visible water in the wheel well area. Could water actually be trapped in the frame? I don't know much about these types of cars, can anybody shed some light on my dilema. Does anyone know what might be happening and where to look. I looked under the car but didn't see any drain holes in the frame. I'm baffled, but not enough to take it to a dealer like my wife suggested.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
