Would my 2.5" slp dual dual tips fit my 3" qtp catted y pipe or would I need new tips?

I really dont know the answer. I took off one of my tips and put it next to the qtp catted y and it is a close fit.

Are the tips 2.5" or the I pipe? The QTP Catted Y is 3". If your I pipe is too small have a reducer welded in.
