358.2 WHP & 346.1 WTQ -on a mustang dyno. I figured they were underrating them based on the trap speed and weight.

What are the mods? Looks like you've added a supercharger to that Dodge! I raced a stock one a month ago before I did my cam and it was about a bus length at the end of third with him getting a 1/2 car jump before I downshifted.
My win by the way... :drive:

That's pretty hot.

Still slower because of all that weight. Then think about trying to stop it. The most important and powerful system on any car is the brakes.

I bet that car can stop from 70-0 in 35 feet less then yours. IIRC they have massive 14.1" brakes up front

I think the guy is a little optimistic saying Dynojets read 10% high. I doubt that would pull ~390 to the wheels according to their 10% figures. (no way on a 425hp engine would it be that high unless way under rated, i'm thinking they didnt as they didnt need to) Still very good numbers. I look forward to seeing one of those on the street.

3,760 pounds vs. 4,210 pounds is a huge difference. To put that in perspective, that's well more than the difference between a GTO and an F-Body!

It'll need all that RWHP. :D I imagine in a 248C it'll probably see 360-370 rwhp though.

Those are nice numbers, but I wonder what the correction factor was on those dyno results? The page didn't mention whether it was STD or SAE. As many people are eager to post the highest numbers... my money is on it being STD correction. If it is STD, then it isn't as impressive.

Should call the dyno shop and see if they will tell you.

You've got to be kidding that a 300M with 14in brakes can stop quicker than my Z? If you were local I would take you personally up on that bet provided you had a RT8 300M. I hope your not a magazine racer. I have been taking my driving courses for my SCCA licenses at PIR in Seattle and know how to brake.

Odds are the SRT-8 can't out brake the Z06. However, learn to race a car without ABS before bragging too much. Come on... I mean... really. It's got ABS so you've got quite a safety net there. My 85 vette (ABS didn't arrive until 86), when it was last running, would make you crap your pants it could brake so hard. You could feel the wheels right on the edge of lockup and if you didn't modulate the brakes you would spin. That took skill to drive and stop fast. ABS doesn't take skill to brake.

Remember, the 300C and the high performance SRT-8 version aren't designed to be "race cars" but they have great performance for what they are. I've seen tests that showed the 300C (340hp 5.7) running in the 13.9-14.2 range and then the SRT-8 is supposed to be good for low 13s. My 300C rides great and has very impressive performance. Chrysler would have a good package if they put these motors in a car that weighs about 1000lbs less.

Don't worry... I have a feeling they're gonna drop the 6.1 in everything they can just as they did the 5.7.

Gotta give Mopar some credit, the srt line for the 300c and magnum are great for family guys with kid seats and want a automatic for coffee drinking plus can keep pace with a gto or ctsv and are under 50 grand. The european under pinnings just make it that much more reliable. ie no broken rears or half shafts
