Hey im looking at a 2001 t/a with a t56 6speed 37k miles on the car. the car is beultiful but its kinda hard to find 3rd and higher. when you go from second to 3rd you have to move the shifter around and wiggle it and then it finally falls in and 4th,5th,and 6th are tricky to find also. is this common or is there a syncro problemm or is there an adjustment. plz help i dont wanna buy a car that has a bad tranny. also is it common for the car with the ls1 to give off a lite stink of burning after ripping the gears and reving up the motor.i never had a t/a or a ls1 so thisis a new motor to me i got an 88 monte so it always stinks. hopefully someoes go some awnsers.

I am no tranny expert so I am not gonna give you advice about that. But as far as the burning smell, no that is not normal. I have 35k miles on my car and it never ever smells after reving it or driving hard.

maybe is was me burning the clutch sense im still bad at it. i dunno
