Life>Southie's SS
Guys, my life has changed drastically over the past few months. My son arrives in June and I'm sitting for the board exams to become a registered Architect.
The SS has been an integral part of my life over the past few years. It has been a great form of entertainment and distraction from the mundane things in daily life. Driving it has gotten me really interested in motorsports (I've since gone to roadracing shool and have a newfound love for the twisties), and I've grown to realize that straightline speed is not everything (though it is everything ).
My days of prowling the streets of Miami in this thing and of going to the occasional Test N Tune night at the nearest drag strip are done. The SS has done what it needed to do for me, and I'm ready to move on and part with the car while it's in its prime kick *** form.
Someone on this board is purchasing it from me, so it's gone within the week.
I'll probably not come around much more to the board, as I'll probably be very swamped for the next year of my life, so without further bla bla bla, good bye all. It's been great.
Ps. I'm purchasing a SAAB 9-2x (the rebadged WRX). No modding is planned.

You son of a bitch.
I understand your situation. You're doing the right thing.
Do me a favor...powershift that bastard just once before you get rid of it!

I can feel your pain man. Years ago I thought I had sold my last performance car. Did the whole married/son thing. I have had 2 different '69 Camaros, a '69 vette, '80 Camaro and a '77 TransAM. Then along came the boy. So then it was a couple of years with a minivan and a Saturn. But hang in there, about a half a year ago I bought my latest toy...a 2002 SS Camaro. It does eventually turn around.

I've been in your shoes dude! There is light at the end of the tunnel! I was able (16 years later) to get back into the "car thing" agian. Kids are older, career is in place, got money again, etc. You'll be back...if you want to be.
later for now!

Carlos ... it's been great man, glad to see you're moving on to bigger and better things (rebadged WRX > LS1) jk, haha. Sometimes life manages to do this ****, oh well. I'm sure someday we'll all see you back in the fast lane.
Drop by every so often and keep in touch & Good luck.

Wow I remember when he first joined. Always had a post up in kill stories and helping others out with their setups. Good luck in your endeavors and it's just a car j/k. Car modding is in your blood and you will feel the need to get back into it again especially in FL. Congrats on your child and I'm sure we'll see you on the board again sometime down the road. Take care.
