Default Grease for TO bearing?

Picked up the new GM slave yesterday at the dealing and see it comes with very very little grease on the TO compared to the slave I pulled out.

Can I use any hitemp grease to coat it before install?

You don't need a bunch of grease on the external parts of the t/o bearing. What you don't want to do is get a bunch of grease in there that can get spun all over your clutch disc. Having said that, I have seen some articles where high temp brake lube is used very very sparingly. You an get a small pack at Advance for $1.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I can see the changes they made. The previous unit, which I assume is the original 98 has a rubber seal on the TO and was packed with grease, the new unit has a poly/plastic seal and no grease at all beyond the rim of the TO.
