Question curious?

I have a 02 ss 6m, just took it to the track, what should a bone stock ss run? no lid no catback, just factory. It ran 13.38@107.71 with a 2.27 60ft time. And how much will it improve with a magnaflow catback and a set of hooker long tubes stainless steel with hi-flow cats? Thanks for any info.

Normally they run mid to low thirteens, So you got a good run in. With a catback and longtubes you will be mid to high twelves.

Those are good times. Actually, those are a tad faster than "the norm", which is 13.7 or so according to Car and Driver back issues. I have a few mods, to include a Dynatech Supermaxx header system on my 02. The headers alone were worth .31 sec improvement in the 1/4. So......... make the tweaks mentioned above and you'll be in the 12's at the same track under the same conditions.
