Manual Transmission - Centerforce or Spec or Ram?

Has anyone used the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch? The Spec 3 seems pretty stout but I've seen some bad posts about them. :drive:

Don't you mean 'were' you born yesterday? And no I didn't know, I just joined LS1TECH a few days ago.

The search feature is a well known valuable technical resource I recommend you use it.

OK, so it looks like Spec 3 is the way to go. But should I get carbon or ceramic? Which will last longer? Also, my flywheel (Centerforce Steel) will only have about 1,000 miles on it when I install the Spec, will it need to be resurfaced?

An organic friction material will give you better feel and street manners, which is ideal for the majority of drivers. A ceramic or tougher material (ie, kevlar) can easily support additional horsepower and rpm down the road however may chatter and have more of an on/off nature.
