Default asp pulley, now or later?

i just ordered a 233/239 cam, complete valve train, tci 4000 stall, trans cooler, new timing chain and all the gaskets and seals. i then notice a lot of people swing for the pulley at the same time. i also forgot the shift kit. should i go and order these parts now or can i wait. how much hp will the pulley yield and will i have to re-tune it if i do it later?

If you are doing a cam do the pulley now. No gains on power, you'll see about a tenth at the track, just rev's easier.
I did a pulley and a ported TB and I gained 1rwhp.

No, no tuning needed.

Happy modding,
Craig.

yes i already got the double roller. i will be getting the pulley soon i just didnt want to do it right away unless it would need a re-tune because of it. should i go ahead and get the gatorback belt when i do it? it seems like a lot of people have problems with the stocker after a pulley. by the way those are some nice numbers you are putting down with your camaro.i like the black wheels to.

Thanks about the wheels and numbers!

Any belt will be fine, no need for the Gatorback one. Its the size of the belt that matters. I have an ASP pulley on both cars, and I used the belt supplied with the pulley.
The 427 was throwing belts until I bought a K-Tech tensioner and I bought another "plain-jane" belt from Autozone. Its just the correct length that matters.

Peace,
Craig.

do the pulley with the cam swap much easier to do with the radiator and water pump out...
