Arrow Anyone tried Mobil1's new extended life oil?

I bought the synthetic Mobil1 extended oil that is supposively good for 15,000 miles. Has anyone actually run this oil for that long? if so, what were your results? Any other opinions on going 15K before another oil change? I've used Mobil1 5W30 ever since I've owned the T/A with 11K miles. It now has 30K and I'm thinking I'll change the oil again at 40K (5K short of reccomended oil life) just to see how it has held up. Opinions?

I think these Mobil 1 oils will serve you well, but I personally would not go that long between changes. JMO.

I'd not worry about the oil as much as I'd worry about the filter. I hope you change filters around every 5K at least.

Yeah, I thought about that, and I most likely will change the filter at 5K and again when I change it next at 10K...

I haven't seen any oil analyses for these extended life oils, but the best Mobil 1 oil for LS1's and LT1's is their 0W40. The 30 weights from M1 are a little on the thin side for these motors, almost a 20 weight.
