Default True duals over the axle out through a CME...

well finally, after weeks of planning and research, my project is complete. qtp headers, to 3 in custom X-pipe, dual 2.5 in out through 2 magnaflow bullets, then to CME

sound is quiet, but with a deep rumble, inside teh car no resonance, and i can now talk with my girl in the car. definate increase in throttle response, and my "Butt Dyno" told me i pick up some lost low end torque and hp.

this system was built entirely by pre-bent pipes, then cut and welded. It has clamps on the headers, and again near the axle, so if i need to change anything, the system just drops down. Clears slp DD subframe connectors, and no lost ground clearance

here are the pics

enjoy

Nicely done. Time for a soundclip. I can host it for you if you have one.

Nice! Looks very clean. That's probably quieter than alot of regular catbacks.

actually, mine is pretty quiet.....which was what i was looking for but i haven't gotten on it yet , it does have a great rumble to it at idle.

as soon as i can get some recordings of it, i will post them up here

Congrats! Looks very clean and I bet it sounds great to boot. I love my CME setup and true duals infront would make it even sweeter.

Nice, i just finished up my setup wich is the exact identical 3" to X to 2.5" both over the passenger side. Although I used the 6" round magnaflows instead of the 4", and without the CME yet. I know youre thinking it must be pretty lame with the 6" rounds, but really only at idle. I wanted to give my neighbors a break after putting up with cold winter starts warm ups when I had dumped 12" dynomax bullets on my old TDs.

Anyway, props on a nice looking setup. I assume you did the work yourself? How did you hang your rubber isolators in the rear to the fram rails? I need to revisit that part on my setup.

well at first, i had the 6in (3in 3 out) because i was going to do 3in all the way out. But even with pounding the floor, and the BMR piece dual 3 wouldn't fit. So i had to retrun that for the 4in. as far has hanging them, we welded on new hangers.

also, the cme tips start as 2.25, so we cut the inlets on the CME tips up a few inches, so it is 2.5

good luck with your set up

Default I love mine

I really enjoy my TD's over the axle with 4" round magnaflows. There is no drone and very little resonance. Mild at cruise and loud at WOT. Puts a smile on my face everytime I hear them.

flp headers, ory, loud mouth, cme. it was loud an obnoxious, when i got off the gas, it sounded horrible. thats why i went with true duals... and there was no way i wasnt going to keep my cme

Yeah, that's why I paid the ridiculous amount I did for my setup...I would have dumped them otherwise and been done with it.
