Default Cut out question

I have a quick question on the cut out. I dont have any headers and Have it located right after the y pipe with an electric cut out. My mods are listed below. The thing is I dont know if it is just me but it seems to have more power with it closed than open. I could be wrong or maybe it is because I have no headers. It is loud but Im not sure if it is more powerful. Any comments on this.

Many have commented that low restriction exhausts seem to reduce low end torque. Take it to a chassis dyno & do a little testing.

yeah you lost low end torque. the dyno won't show you anything below 3000 rpms unfortunately. i gained 11/13 on the dyno after 3000 rpms. here's what happened at the track when i did some testing. i now have the bassani tru-dual on the car.

Now here's results of my exhaust endeavors. This is with 200 n2o.
distance ---stock ----- cutout --- Bassani
60ft ------ 1.987 ------ 2.074 ----- 1.969
1/8 ------- 7.902 ------ 7.912 ----- 7.739
mph ------- 93.20 ----- 93.97 ----- 98.60
1/4 ------- 12.102 ---- 12.080 ---- 11.814
mph ------ 117.12 ---- 118.06 ---- 121.35

My car nearly stock: SAE 292.4/314.6 UC: 301.2/324.0
added 3" Flowtech Cut-Out: SAE 303.5/321.7 UC: 312.9/331.7

Same car picked up over 1mph and .10et in the quarter.

IMO, forget the but-o-meter.

How much for some true duals? Looking into them but was gonna get some cutouts as temporary solutions.

something like lane's, that dumps before the axle, goes for about $450.00. the bassani, that i have on both cars and goes over the axle, goes for $799.00 for aluminzed and $949.00 in stainless.

Whats the power difference between dumping before the axle and going over the axle, also the sound difference?

minimal difference. in talking with darrell from bassani, once the exhaust merges at the x-pipe, it doesn't make much difference after that. of course the more bends you have, the more restrictive it gets. but, when mandrel bent, minimal loss is achieved.
