Default High flow cats on a H/C car

What am I leaving on the table by running high flow cats with my LTs on a H/C 346 LS1? I am debating on going with offroad pipes but if it's less than 5whp or so I will just leave them (cats) on.

Thanks

Headers and cats on a stock car will rob around 5rwhp. So for a heads/cam car, I am guessing 8 to 10 rwhp.

That is correct. In addition you can increase the flow of the existing system by replacing existing cats with a 3" piece for reducer cones on each side if you want. Or just run bigger piping which should increase airflow a substantial amount in the midrange.

I went ahead and got some offroad pipes.....10whp for $100 isn't too bad...and it'll probably be more when I spray.
