Default Looking for civilized cam with decent performance

Looking for a cam that sounds fairly stock but gives some decent gain in hp. Thinking about ZO6 cam (how much can i get one for?). hear Lingenfelter GT2-3 is better. any thoughts?

I just installed Thunder Racing's new CheaTR (cheater) cam. If you plan on running stock manifolds and cats, you'll want a cam without much overlap. It's a tad more aggressive than the LS6 or LPE GT2-3 cam, but it still idles like stock. Mine pulls to 6800 rpm with ease. 214/230 .600/.578 117LSA.

If you plan on running headers and high flow cats, you can go with a cam that has a little more overlap and less of a split on the intake/exhaust lobes.

I went with a 224/224 570 lift at 114 lsa with full exaust and it even passed California smog sniffer.

YOU HAVE TO GIVE MORE INFORMATION. Will you be running a good exhaust system? What kind of driving? How important is the power/time gain to you? Will you get it tuned? (you really should) What we know from the sig is a bone stock M6. Not exactly the best car to even be adding a cam to in the first place.

If you ask such a simplistic question the easiest answer (as you would have seen had to read JRP's cam guide) is a TR224.

It's too new. Just tell them that you are calling about the Cheater cam and they'll fill you in on the specs and see if it's right for you.

I wouldn't go with anything smaller than a good 224 cam, like the TR224. Get it on 114 LSA if you have to pass a tail sniffer, 112 LSA otherwise.
