Exclamation magnaflow race mufflers for duals?

im going be doing a dual 3 inch setup for my Z28. so i don't wanna run the crapy *** dynatech bullets, cuz i heard they sound like ****. so i was leaning towards the new manaflow stainless steel race mufflers. the 6 inch version. there 3.5's and meassure 5 by 8 inches i think? i want it to be loud but i also want a clean sound. anyone have these or have sound clips of this setup?

I recently switched to 6" round magnaflow mufflers, and the sound is great and still growing on me. I had switched from 24 inches of bullets on each leg of the exhaust, which also sounded good and slightly more agressive. The magnaflows are deffinately smoother, slightly more mellow, quieter at idle, and definately have a deeper tone. They still scream to about 90% of where the bullets were. But the high rpm deceleration and the shift belch sounds AMAZING with the magnaflows.

I have heard that the 5x8, 4x9, and 6" round all have similar sound qualities because they all have a similar chamber volume with a similar ammount of sound absorber.

My car is not lowered however I do plan on dropping 1/2 to one inch in the relatively near future. My mufflers are however tucked up under the hatch, on either side of the well. I have a both-over-the-passenger-side-axle setup.

You know, for the ammount of digital pictures I take, i never seem to take any of my mods. Ill try and get some pick on my next day off. (i think you were talking to me) For instant gratification, check out this post: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...4&page=1&pp=20 My setup is very similar to Jimmy 2 times' setup, but without the CME, and using 6" round mufflers instead of the 4". Oh, and mine's not nearly as clean!

There is absolutelt no measurable flow difference between any of the flow through design mufflers, be it a dynomax bullet, flow through borla, or any magnaflow muffler. You can drop a racquet ball right through any of them.
