Default How can I clean my SVO 30# injectors?

I am building my new motor right now and would like to clean the injectors. Is this something I can do at home? Soak them in something? I dont want to spend an arm and a leg to clean them out.
Thanks

There is no way of really cleaning an injector at home. I have heard of "Sonic cleaning", which is basically someone with jewelry cleaner, but this dose not work.

The best way to do it is to send them to a fuel injection place. It should cost around $10.00 to $12.00 a injector.

I think you would need to reverse-flush them (get the
silt off the internal screen) in an aggressive solvent
(but not so aggressive that the materials get hurt).
I made my own injector tester years ago out of junkyard
Ford plumbing. I never tried to run the injectors backward
in it (which would seem to be a matter of the proper
donut and clamping). A gallon of gas and about 4 bottles
of Techron would probably fit the bill for cleaner. My setup
is built into an unnecessarily large equipment suitcase.

Somebody ought to make a cheapo home fuel injector
tester that works off the Schrader of a running car.
Hmmm.....

Reverse flow, gravity feed with injector pulsing. Acetone (or carb cleaner.)

Jimmy, you would be nuts to sell something like that unless your LLC. Even then your a good lawsuit away from living out of a box.

AGREE! 10 bucks a pop and they come back with a flow sheet! i'm sure they do what they claim. i had 1 set of high mileage 19# 5.0 injectors. broken caps, nasty looking, ect came back with new caps, flow sheet and they ticked like new injectors.
way cheaper than buying new.

Sell them for $80-$100 and just buy a new set for $200. I rather have a new set of injectors on a new motor.Just my 2 cents.
