Default Drilled hole now what?

My shop just drilled a hole in my throttle body blade to help with the puslating idle on my 226 228 570 570 114 cam. They did no new programming and I was wondering if I need to to some myself. I am expecting hptuners this week. My car is a 2002 vert a4 vet. I did notice my idle went up at cold start.

hmm, can u tell me how much they drilled out of it?, in my a4, the 232/234 in there is horrible, no tune tho yet, but i cant get it to keep anywhere b/t 600 and 1100, and ofcourse at 600 it dies almost immediatley, at 1100 giving it a lil gas i can keep it running steady and fine.

Have you read those threads that say STOP DRILLING THOSE THROTTLE BODYS! You just use the idle adj screw and reset the TPS. I put in a cam about a week ago and it worked for me. Drilling just lets in more air. Opening the throttle blade just a tweek does the same thing. Well maybe you already know all this. Good luck with it.

Careful drilling the TB hole - it can help with idle but can cause other problems down the road if too big (stay under 1/4").

P0121 code is common on drilled tb cars when the PCM senses too much air for the throttle position/load. The MAP window on P0121 can easily be tuned out but can be a nuisance if you don't have access to tuning software.

It took me a long time to realize the hole in the TB was why I was getting that code !
