Default Drilled Throttlebody. From the factory????

My buddy has a 2002 SS Camaro. When we took off the airbox, the butterefly had a hole drilled in it as they do when a cam is installed.

He said he bought the car new. Is this done at the factory??

All you do with a cam install is drill it out slightly larger. Although it's best not to drill it out unless absolutely necessary.

Yes, it's to assist the IAC system.

When you add a mild to big cam, drill it out 2 drill bit sizes bigger and then adjust your IAC tables.
