Default 04SRT4 vs. 96 LT4 Vette

Figured since I joined I'll post up this fun run. Buddy of mine has a 96 LT4 Corvette that ran 13.2 @ 107mph and dynoed 299rwhp/324rwhp on a mustang dyno. Well had a few playful runs. SRT is running solo and Camera is always in the Vette.

3 races on video

SRT gets the move

Well let's say it wasn't good

Even take off

SRT edges out but at 90 (3-4 shift) LT4 pulls back since it's still screaming in 3rd. Levels out again at 110 when LT4 had to shift to 4th.

LT4 jumps SRT4

Didn't hear the honks and he got a mini-jump

Whatcha think?

constant misfire problem I had that was pissing me off...

Changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, injectors, coils, and cylinder 6 or a random misfire code would always come up and the car would buck to all hell when you got on it. Plus it was a V6 (1999 3800 Series II) that only did low 15s so this was actually an upgrade for me. Stock LS1 type performance (see sig) at a non-LS1 insurance rate and more practicle...that's why I did what I did.

^ I had the same problem as you, turned out I had a clogged cat. Gave me a reason to do exhaust. I'll be upgrading too in August, if I find the right ride.

not bad at all. SRT runs pretty well. Of course, he had the extra driver. Besides, I would of traded the fbody in if I only had a v6, lol.

That lt4 is a good setup. It's power is similar to the ls1.

I've been looking at gm's conversion with the hotcam setup. 425+hp interests me but than again. So does 150 shot of juice on a lt1.

thanks...it's a big bad V8 so I always downplay and say you take the driver I'm just a poor 4cyl Neon. Let's say that first run he wanted to give me the head start. He didn't think that was going to be the outcome!!
