Default Can the shaking of the motor cause problems with the tranny?

I was having my transmission checked to see whether it needed servicing or not the other day, and my motor was shaking due to the cam, and the mechanic i guess thought it was a missfire, but he was saying that with it doing that, it can throw the converter in and out of lock up and cause damage, is this true? is there anything i should do, its a stock 4l60e w/a shift kit, 25k on it

Whether or not it causes damage I hope not but I have the same problem. Just this morning on my way to work I was driving with cruise on at about 65 and the tranny continously locked for two minutes then unlocked for two minutes and then locked for two minutes............... all the way to work. I can live with it as long as it isnt causing damage

Does your car unlock and lock at highway speeds? Have you raised your Throttle body set screw at all? Any other tranny related problems>
