10 bolt question okay im looking to buy another rear, guy says its a 3 series carrier that was upgraded from a 2 series??? I just need a 3 channel what is the difference with this

That prolly means it had a 2.73 gear. He put a 3.xx gear in it w/ the 2series carrier. So to get the 3.xx gear to fit the 2 series carrier he used a ring gear spacer. It fits on the back of the ring gear. Not the strongest thing IMO, they tend to be easier to break & more noise prone. No upgrade by any means.....
