Default Which of these spring kits is better?

The cam will be a FMS cam with around .580-.590 lift.

Which of these spring kits will be better, more reliable, and the quietest?

The Patriot Dual Spring kit

or

The Precision Race Components Dual Spring Kit

or

Something else

Thanks in advance.

same spring, same locator, the only difference is the retainer and the keepers.
PRC uses stock keepers and Patriot uses an aftermarket super 7 keeper. Both will perform the same IMO so get the one you get the best deal on.

Ive got a similar question,
with a F13 cam, which springs would work good for the best price, 918s?
which springs would provide the longest mileage life?

Patriot golds. Possibly the prc spring kit too. Definately not the 918"s. They couldnt even handle my FMS 221/221 .586 .586 112.

I bet that is not because of the springs but because of bad install or some other failure.
I run mine on XE-R .581 till 6600rpm for over a year now. Still spec is the same as day of install (actually better)

It was the springs to my knowledge. I was plagued with what I thought was a lifter going out on me (tap tap tap). Finally after changing lifters 3 times and the noise kept occuring, I went through everything (pushrods, rocker arms, etc). Finally I said I was going to check out the springs and change them too, since That was the only thing I hadnt touched. Took the 918's off and checked the intstalled spring height with a valve spring micrometer and it was at 1.8" in spec. I put the patriot gold springs in and fired the truck up and quietness is what was heard. The patriots are quieter everywhere. I just dont think the 918's had enough open pressure. Still have them in the box if someone would like one to test out.
