Default Newb Idle Question

Im new to tuning my car and i was playing around with my idle. I was just wondering if i changed my idle through Target Idle Speed vs. ECT and Idle Air Flow vs. ECT will it screw up my car? Do i need to do anything else to change the idle and keep it safe for the motor?

Thanks,
Bryan

Mods? Goals? Problems?

Need some info here...

If you are trying to change you idle speed, then the RPM vs ECT is what you need to mess with. If the commanded idle speed cannot be held stable, then mess with the Idle airflow.

My mods so far are lt's, ory, cutout, ls6 intake, lid, fra. Im hoping to put a cam in here in the next few months. There are no problems with the car.. i was just playin around with hpt and trying learn a little more about how to tune it when i get the cam. I was just wondering if messing with the idle with the car as is, if it will hurt the motor or not.

Thanks
Bryan
