Default This is rediculous..

I get in this forum and i see real techinical questions getting avoided and 6 out of the top 10 questions are cam ?'s PEOPLE EVERY CAM QUEST YOU COULD HAVE HAS BEEN ANSWERED.. USE THE FREIKIN SEARCH KEY

I got an idea how about the next person who posts.. which cam for my set up... or what heads to get.. gets banned?? this is getting rediculous..

haha, yeah there have been so many "what cam" questions its getting old, not to mention people that have no supporting mods, and want everything for nothing.
What I really like are the posters that never post what they have already, even A4, M6........ then continue asking what they should get.
Now if someone comes in with say a couple options of different cams, and states that they plan on doing xxxx w/ the car its a little different. The majority I see are F13, 14 and TRex... with people that want them on their bone stock down to the factory manifold cars, that want 400rwhp........
so yeah, next one that posts up should get a vacation.......

Don't hate!

By the way guys... which cam should I get? I want a cam with tons of low end torque and will get me over 400 rwhp with nothing else but a lid and some hopes & dreams. I want it to lope like an old big block yet have no problems with my idle... I also want to run 11s. Is this too much to ask from an A4 with a factory suspension shot to **** and Goodyear RSAs with 50k miles on them?

You forgot that you don't want to pay for a tune or new springs or pushrods...

I was discussing this with Mike over the weekend. I looked for info an an oil support ring for Lunati ring sets and found no info. My post plumetted to the bottom because of "What cam..." questions. Hence these questions defeat the purpose of this section. No one wants to sift through those threads to find interesting, useful ones. It does get old.

That is why I usually just kinda glance over this forum once a day. Any thing with "FM12, TRex, et al" in the thread title and I just blow right on by it. Anything with head design, quench, det. resistance, bottom end, gaskets does get my attention. Yes it is purhaps the most critical aspect of the engine, but for must of us here, it is not life or death if you are off just a few degrees or couple hundreths lift.

the first line of any which cam thread should start out with a VERY GOOD REASON why you should be asking it, and not reading about whats already been posted.

ex) anybody running an f14 in a convertable with a 12 disk changer?

j/k

While I definitely agree with you guys, and I try to post questions that are specific and/or have not been asked before, sometimes the search feature is hard to use to get what you want (not often, but once in a while it happens to me).

I would recommend putting the "how to search" sticky at the top of each forum, since a lot of people don't read the intro to tech.

Boy, where do I start. To keep it simple, NO ONE IN HERE WILL HARDLY REPLY TO ANY QUESTIONS IN HERE PERTAINING TO ANYTHING BUT THE SIMPLE "WHAT CAM" OR "WHAT LENGTH PUSHRODS". I have asked some very good questions in the past with hardly any replies. The only time I really got some good replies is when I insulted a few people. SO, until some people can get over themselves on this site and come down to the little people level and answer some of the more IN DEPTH questions that are being asked, I guess we are stuck with the same shioty questions to answer.
