One last question before I buy the TC
Ok, so I'm going with the 3600/2.5STR fuddle racing verter... Going to get a B&M 24k cooler.. When I save up more money I'll get a temp gauge and some sticky tires for the back or something. One step at a time for us college folks
I know I will have to change tranny fluid more often with the TC, but what all kinds of maintenance differences am I looking at?
TC fluid change every 5k miles? 3k? How often?
I'm really excited about getting it but I want to make sure I wont have to change the fluid every 1000 miles either

The last time I dropped the pan for a fluid change in my car was just before 50K (when I put nitrous on my car: 12/02). I put a Yank SY3500 on my car in May of 03 (maybe @ 53K) .
In the past month or so, I just got a heads cam + supporting mods done on my car, and because of some annoying issues with the tranny, recently decided to do a shift kit. As part of the shift kit, last Sunday, I pulled the pan, and at 59K, the fluid looked pretty darned good. Probably less than two good fingerfull swipes of metal on the pan magnet.
I think dropping the pan and changing the fluid every 1000 miles would be overkill, IMHO.
Just my opinion.
BTW, I pretty much beat the crap outta my car when I drive it, but I take care of it, maintenance wise.
