Default F.A.S.T. 90/90 Help Please

We put the fast 90/90 on a friends car and when you crank it it idles at 3000+...He said that there were no vacuum leaks...he has a scanmaster and gave me the TPS, TPP, & IAC readings...

TPS .94
TPP 4%
IAC 163

this is at idle @ about 3600...these numbers seem very high to me...but i am no tuning expert...has anyone else run in to this?...btw ed wright did the tuning so i call them and they said to put the stock manifold and tb on it, big help...and i have called fast a couple times and no one is availible that knows anything any help would be great

Hmmm... that could very well be your problem right there... Many people have had nightmares with the FAST 90mm TB. Search it on the External Engine section, people are going with the Nick Williams and having lots of success.

How do you know if yours is too large, before having the problem? Is there something that can me measured?

A couple of things.....first if the IAC & RAF tables have been changed in ED Wright tuning, those need to be put back to stock with the 90/90. Second the throttle blades have been know to hang open, we have fixed that by putting a large heavy spring to the throttle to force it to close.

FAST has already sent the replacement and that has fixed the idle issue for the most part...now idles about 1200...going to get exhaust on it then take it to the dyno to cure the driveablity issues...ive forgotten the mesurement that fast gave me on the TPS housing size...contact Hatley at FAST he can help you with that demension
