Talking LS1 smokes a f-body for me

This is kind of funny, i was just driving my newly aquired GTA today for the first time, and i went to see Kingdom of Heaven later tonight. After the movie ends, as im leaving, i arrive to a stop light on the right lane. 2 seconds later, this 93-97 camaro pulls up to my left, with an SS hood, huge spinners, quad exhaust, euro lights in the back, nos stickers on the rear windshield, and what not. Looked to me like a V6, since i saw no badges, no rumble .
Then right after he pulls up next to me and asks me to race, i refuse, and what a coincidence that at that same momenet, a nice silver ls1 formula pulls up next to him, on his left, sounding realy bad ***, i think a cam or so. The camaro starts revving up his v6 *******, while i sit back relax, and the formula revving back at him. Light goes green, and off they go, and the camaro gets smoked by 10 bus lenghts. I manage to catch up to the formula a couple lights later, pull up next to him, comment on each others cars, and call it a night. Even as it wasn't my kill, it was a fellow LS1

You know, i was wondering...why ANYONE would put anything bigger than MABEY 17-18" under a sports car.
I would figure, anything above stock size would slow the car down more than anything.
The motto with my ws6 is "Go ahead...think it's a stock car"
even tho....it pretty much is...that's just my motto for later

I had too much trouble between inssurance and college fees, so i sold it for a good price, and i decided to get another LS1 a little later.

Great story. There's a 97 RS running around here with a crappy lowering job and a huge bright green windshield decal that says "PIMP".

awesome story man, and I think we all got em (domestic rice). Theres a dark green v6 LT1 era Camaro round here that has its entire drivers side crumpled in and a huge spolier in the back with a mismatched paintjob, euros, and a big white vinyl camaro decal that encompasses a good 25% of the windshield. ugh

oh well. thats an awesome story though man

There is a WS6 2001 Sunset Orange Metallic Trans-AM here in town with some spinners on it. I think like 18 or 19". The spinning part are flames, gay. It has those Kragen's style seat covers with flames on it as well. What are people doing to these nice cars. I am all about modifying your car, but tastfully, please, keep it tastefull. i did like the story, nothing better than an LS1 putting the spank down on that ***. BTW, nice GTA, I always wanted a 20th turbo TA. I like the 3rd gen GTA's and firebird formula's.

Why do you say Maybe 17-18"'s? The stock WS6 came with 17's, I'm possibly thinking of 18's if I can't find a decent price on some WS6 rims.. ( I like the stock look aswell but with the shitty 16" you can't put a 315 on it )

Oh yeah. My 305TPI 1987 TA could. I wouldn't say it was super easy. But it wasn't exactly a close race either.
