How much total timing at WOT??
Installed Predator tune and my total timing at WOT is running 33 degrees. I have heard that LS1 don't really respond well to that much timing. Can someone confirm or deny that for me please??

i run 30-31 degrees at WOT and made the #'s in sig w/o any knock. Every car will like what it likes... A car I played with just this morning could only run 22 degrees...
The real question is, are you running optimal timing? The more timing you have does not mean you are making the most power you can. You doing all this on a dyno I presume?

Can you get on a dyno to verify that running this amount of timing is working for you? I mean, if you backed off and gained 5 horses that would mean something.
Also, like said earlier, if your knock sensors are a little buzzed from tuning or whatever, they won't pick up on the pinging. I take it you have no audible knocking? 33 degrees is a very rare thing with these motors. Most motors like 25-30 degrees.

Im stock internals and the most I can pull is 22*. Cammed cars here in OZ can run up to 27-28* but thats the limit. 33* sounds wrong. If you get no power gains from 27-33* then I would still run 27*.

I did back it down to 29 and leaned it out. I don't have access to a dyno, but I picked up 1 MPH in the quarter. Ran 13.001 @ 108.88 yesterday. Best previous was 13.05 @ 107.9, yesterday was very humid and warm over the 107 run day. So there may have been more gain.

I will try backing it off some more. I did seem to lose some mid-range, for gaining 1 mph I didnot gain much in ET. I was really looking for a 12. Close but no cigar.

Personally, I run from 4000 rpm about 22 degrees, up to 29 degrees at 6000 rpm. I have never had any luck removing the torque valley in the timing tables, as some have.
