Default Clutch petal sticking to the floor after new clutch install

Have any of you guy had this problem before? I install the spec stage 3 with flywheel about a week ago and I've bled the system and used the mityvac and it still wants to stick when I hold the petal down for a long time. I have great pedal pressure and I up graded my slave and install the mcleod adjustable master and did the drill mod last clutch install. Do you thing it's the mcleod doint this?

Well, I dont see why I would have good pedal pressure if there is still air in there? It just seems like the master is not working.I will try with the mity vac some more and see what happens.

if the master is brand new, then i don't think you'd be having problems with it (although that's not always the case). if it's used, you never really can know.

It's not new. I installed it with my last clutch a year ago.

u need to bleed it more. make sure u bleed the system untill u cannon push the pedal, but dont try to force it because ull break something. just make sure the pressure is very very hard and there is little to no play. half inch to inch at play at most untill it gets hard to push down.

Ok guys, I have bled this thing with the mityvac and had no luck. It has great pedal pressure till I hold the patel down for a while then it sticks to the floor. the weird thing is all I did was disconnected the slave when I pulled the trany so there should'nt be that much air in there.the last time I put a new slave and master on and it bled great. I thing I'm going to order a new stock master and see what happens.

Disconnect the slave from the transmission. Push in the clutch pedal, not so hard that you break something, but put pressure on it. It should be rock hard and hold that. If it starts moving towards the floor after a little while, your master is probably bad.

Ok it was rock hard and stayed that way.so I bled and bled and bled ....... and had no luck. Do I need to pull the master and bench bleed?

When you hooked the mityvac up to the resevoir did you go and slowly push in the clutch pedal? Where is your clutch engaging? It isn't real high or real low? If you have the adjustable master cylinder adjusted too far, it can cause problems.

My pedal has had problems sticking the the floor/losing all pressure/staying 75% of the way down after a hard run. Guess what... it's the same adjustable master. After many stories like this, It's becoming too prevalent to be coincidence. Hopefully it's something different for you though.

Well, I pushed the pedal kinda fast. The clutch engages about two inches off the floor.I did bring the engagment down some to see if it would help.

Update on my problem.I look under the dash today and pulled the boot back on the master and found brake fluid.I pushed the pedal with my hand and fluid started coming out. Will a little fluid leaking under the boot cause this??

You need to get a rebuild kit for that McLeod master.
That will definately cause problems Thunder racing (in sponsor list>>>) sell them for around $30. Get a wheel clinder hone & hone the master out a little wet w/ brake fluid on the hone's stones. Then clean it real good w/ brake clean. Then reassemble with brake fluid on all seals & bleed it w/ the mighty vac.
