Yeah, I have heard that the pro 5.0 or the bm ripper shifter help a lot with finding third.

Yep, I have the Ripper. It automatically goes to the center of your gearbox(between 3rd and 4th) so it's really easy to find all your gears. Also, the 2-3 shift is flawless. You don't even have to move the shifter over in the least bit. I just hammer mine up and it goes right to 3rd. No missed shifts=awesome.

This is my first Manual Car ever.... I have the SLP Hurst with stock shifter. I can honestly say I have NEVER missed a 2-3 or 5-3 shift.

I've had a slew of cars with manual transmissions and I can honestly say that I have, on occasion, missed the 2nd to 3rd shift in my 02 w/the SLP Hurst shifter. I'd like to know which is the best all around shifter (for the money) too.

I too have the Ripper and would highly recommend it. There is another thread on here too about what people like about thier shifters and that is what I said I liked about my B&M.I know when I am racing someone from a roll, and Im looking for third gear, I have faith that I will find it everytime and wont miss any gears when it counts the most.
