Just some input:

I'd go with an entire new set instead of mixing. If the springs have a good
amount of mileage, the pressures will be different across the valve train.

If not, have all of the springs checked for seat and open pressure.

I'm guessing this is for a V6. GM sells the springs individually (12586484) so SDPC--------------> would probably be as cheap as anyone unless you have a hook up at a local dealer. There is no difference between a LS1 and LS6 retainer so find someone who has upgraded to Ti retainers or dual springs and you could get some either cheap or free,

Yes it's for my 3800. I need them to run my 1.9 ratio rocker arms. Ok so the retainers are the same between the LS1's and the LS6's? I'm just trying to be as cheap as possible. I know I can get a set of retainers/springs for 100 bucks, but if I can find a deal why not? Also the LS6 springs are 90 lbs compared to my stock 60lbs(I think).

So it's ok to use used retainers but not used springs?
