Just ordered HP Tuners Just ordered a copy of HP Tuners for my car, I have never tuned a car, I was just wondering if you guys think I am getting in over my head. Right now my car isn't running very good... ie. hesitating when I floor it in second from ~2 grand to ~3 grand other than that it runs well. I just installed an air lid and LT's with no cats, so I thought this would help, is it pointless without a wideband, because I do not own one.

lots of useful info...
WOT tuning is much more difficult w/out a wideband... but still possible (before companies such as innovate motorsports offered affordable widebands... stock O2 sensors was the only way any of us tuned)
When tuning WOT w/a narrowband (stock) sensor ... always error on the side of rich ...
however for part throttle tuning the stock sensors are perfect... get your VE table tuned to as close to 0 fuel trims as possible (LTFT or STFT) , then for WOT tune for rich based on narrowband... then go on a dyno for reassurance (dyno w/wideband)
