Default P0101 Code on Cam Car

Hey guys,

I was just curious if anyone else with a cam car has had problems with showing a P0101 code. From what I have found, its a MAF code. I had the car tuned by Speed Inc. and I have emailed them to see if they have any thoughts.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You get the P0101 Code when the difference between the MAF table and VE table is greater than the P0101 delta table. That means that basically either your VE table is not accurate or your MAF table needs to be calibrated correct, but that can only be done after you verify that your VE table is between -5 and +5.

If you havent modifed (or the speedshop) the P0101 table, then I would look at did they scale the MAF table or VE table. Not saying anything bad about the tuner, but some like to take the easy road out and scale the entire MAF table, and this basically could be a bad thing because you are not truly accurately depicting what the MAF is reading compared to what the Dynamic Airflow really is. Find out (or if you got a tuning software) if they modified the VE or MAF table and how much.

The 420 and 430 codes are the rear O2s. Not a big concern since its just looking at the Catalytic Converter.

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2

You may have to tweak the thresholds, or just disable them if you dont care about your cats.
