Question How much would i gain??

I just installed my new cam (tr224/224 114) in my 01 ss and was wondering how much hp gain could i get from a tune? I have slp long tube headers, ory, slp dual-duals, airlid w/airhog filter, smooth bellow and i never had it tuned. About how much could i gain??

Also only one of my header"s air tubes is blocked, the other one doesnt have a block on it, does this effect performance at all? Thanks

You mean your air fitting is wide open on the header? That must sound like hell. And spew a lot of extra heat into your engine bay that you don't want.

As for the tune, depends on how rich you've been. Anywhere from 10-20 rwhp possibly. I really only gained 10 rwhp, and I have a few more goodies. Other people gain more.

Tune hp gains vary greatly. It just depends on how poorly your car runs without a tune.

20hp is a good guess though. The thing I liked best about a tune for me was the part throttle response and power. Increasing timing a lot down low helps a bunch for daily driving.

I'm w/ the rest of the crowd here, 10-20hp depending, as far as your peak #'s I'm guessing 380-390whp.

i gained 7hp the first tune then did another head, cam swap and gained 8hp the second time. the car was running worse the 2nd time, but still no big power gains for me,just made the car run so much nicer.
