Just need to know if the comp 921 are as good as the prc duals and if they'll handle my new cam (246/257 .632/.645 112+4). They are coming on the set of heads that I am buying off a member here on the board and I want to make sure they're good, if not, I can swap my prc kit from my stock heads onto them, cuz I had just replaced the springs about 100 miles or so before pulling the motor for the build-up, so they're basically brand new!!! Let me know what you guys think, thanks!!!

no, they're terrible and you should swap. then ship the entire 921 kit to me for $100

921's are some of the best duals out there. why you'd want to swap them out i am not sure.

I'm not really lookin to swap 'em out unless I had too, that's why I was askin about them, cuz I have no experience with the 921's, just wanted to make sure they were good springs. Thanks a lot for the feedback and makin me feel better about leavin them in there!

I'd like to hear all the good or bad experiences with them guys, keep 'em comin, thanks!

there are many good springs out there but 921's are one of the best duals. Not cheap, but with these you definately get what you pay for.

Devon the 921's are two independent pieces, the innner springs slides easily inside the larger spring. This causes a harmonics problem and I've heard that the springs start slapping at high RPM's.

I believe the Crane's inner spring is wound tightly to the outter spring and is more like one piece eliminating this problem.

921's are better. Another one of the things I'd be running if I wasn't a financially challenged college student on a 5-6 year plan.

I hear ya dude, I did the college thing for a year, and it just wasn't for me, couldn't justify spending all that money and takin all that time and not making money to get a piece of paper that I don't even know if it'll get me a job or if i'll even do that, so I went a little harder route and floated around for a couple years tryin to get myself into a trade and I finally found one almost 2 years ago now, that is making me really good money and i'm really happy cuz now I can have lots of fun with my car (and eventually i'll buy a house too, but right now I wanna have fun while i'm still young and can! I figure i'll goof off and have fun for another 3 years or so till i'm 25 and then by that time my girl will be done with college and start workin and it'll make it a little more comfortable financially to have a house and a racecar and i'll buckle down and do the whole house and responsibility thing, hehe)!!!

like has been said, 921's are about the best on the market. i wouldn't worry too much.

I was in a shop recently dicussing which duals I was gonna upgrade to.

The guy had every phucen spring that you could think of in there and I beleive he found the Cranes to be working best.

I'll call tomorrow to double check. and call you.

This guys said 921's are **** and and they also lowered the 918 singles to 600 lift so they could sell the more expensive 921'S.

Before the 921's came along the 918's were rated to 650.

Over 7,000? That is seriously high, and is asking for a lot out of a hydraulic roller setup. Let alone the bottom end....

Which is exactly what your posts are as well. My information comes from people like Allan Futral, folks @ TEA, Bo White, etc.

Question it all you want. If 921's were **** then they wouldn't have a good reputation.

Did you look in my sig and see the new motor setup? This isn't a stock bottom. And the size of the cam is huge, so i'm assuming she's gonna be goin over 7000 rpm since my buddies that have t-rexes in there stock cube motors have to shift at 7200 and when I ordered the cam from allan, he said I probably will too. Check my first post for the size of my cam, hehe!!! I mean obviously I won't know till I get her together and get her on the track and start testing ****, but i'm almost positive she's gonna need to go that high.

Your making your judgements based on what others have said that proved false.

Berry puts the 921's in if that's what the customer has to have.

He had 3 boxes of them on his shelf.

His comments were based on customer feed back.

I was just trying to be helpful before you put the motor together.
