what would make the pistions get lots of buildup?

Default what would make the pistions get lots of buildup?

i had a bit of crap on my pistons i scraped off, lots of black build up. i dont nkow if its from too much fuel or burning oil or what. what do you guys think??

Sounds like carbon build up to me.. One thing i have noticed is some of the "cheaper" gas stations tend to produce more carbon build up than others. If it's running super rich then it will have more carbon build up than if it was where it should be. Oil consumption can also increase the build up

most of the time the gas comes from the same refineries. cost of gas does not matter.

i'd say you are running rich...did you ever get a tune after your headers, ory, gmmg install...plus the typical oil from the pcv will compound that problem...i wouldn't say you'd have to worry too much about it though

yeah i tuned it, recently i put the wrong injector size in and it was so rich it wouldnt run, changed the plugs and everything. even with the damn ls6 valley swap im gettin little bits of oil sucked in. but i dont think its really much at all

The additives that are added at the pump at each station are said to make a difference with build up though. who knows, just what i have heard
