ok i need to "adjust" the carrier...how ok i installed my 3.73 gears tonight and i used the little paint thing to see if everything was messing together right and i need to move my carrier to the left a little, the stock shims are off, so do i need to get new shims? or how does that work

You have to check the backlash on the carrier (center it). You can use a dial indicator with a magnetic base to check this, it should be within .006"-.010". You'll need different width shims to add/remove to each side to get it right.
