MTI X1 cam???
O.K. guys alittle help please. If anyone out there has an MTI X1 cam, what kind of numbers are you putting down and what do you think of this cam. Is it worth the money or should I go with another cam? Let me know what you'll think?

The X1 put down some good numbers, but it's kind of an "old school" ls1 grind. That is, since it was designed, cam profiles for ls1's have come a long way. There are grinds available now that should make more power and be more driveable. If you want to go MTI, I would give them a call, I'm sure they've got some good grinds.

however its still a very potent cam and has readily gone into the 10's and 11's with the right combo.

one of my buddies has it. He has stock 5.3 heads and full bolt ons. He put down 398 with a 6 speed
Another local guy had one with stock heads and full bolt ons and was in the 38x range
