The overall design of the new heated brackets is the same. We listened to our customer feedback, and changed some of the components. One difference is that the new fully-auto heater kits will now include an adjustable pressure switch instead of a fixed pressure switch.

These are nice brackets, makes for a very clean install. I was wondering what the wattage is new/old?

Robert,
The previous version was 175W, and the new ones are 225W.
The watts can not be directly compared to standard silicone style heaters.
Here is a link that shows heat rate of a 175W bracket heater vs. a conventional 240W silicone heater.
http://www.860performance.com/860Products.htm
(check out the starting bottle temperature, and ambient temp for the test conditions)
As you can see the heated bracket starts a little slower because it needs to also heat the mass of the bracket, but then heats at a slightly faster rate, even though it uses less power. This is because heat transfer of the aluminum is faster than silicone. The mass of the bracket then is in your favor once the bottle is up to temp, because it helps keep the bottle temp more stable.
Testing is done on the 225W bracket, so expect an update to that page in the next week or so.
