or TEA dual kit
or Patriot Gold dual kit
or Comp 921 dual kit

All are good choices. Price would be the deciding factor for me.

i'd go for the new platinum springs from PRC. they offer more spring pressure than the golds. the 921's are great springs, but highly overpriced.

A cam like the MS is a pretty beefy cam, but nowhere near the limits of any of these springs. Assuming he is going to reuse stock lifters, wouldnt a heavier seat and open pressure further stress an already questionable stock lifter? I would think you'd want to keep the lightest spring you can so long as you dont have valve float. If you do have valvefloat with the MS and you need to shim, then I could see where the extra .010 lift and heavier spring would help.

Just a curious question. I like the idea of the PRC platinums, but im wondering if the negative effect on the lifters outweighs the benefits. then again, I dont really know if he is planning on using stock lifters.

the stock lifters can handle quite a bit of pressure. i've been running 977's on stock lifters for 14000 miles. they have 150 lbs on the seat and over 400 lbs at peak lift.

And here i thought we were pushing them with the popular dual kits when using the bigger of the 'cam only' cams. I see a lot of people switching to comp-R lifters, for better or for worse. Good to know they can handle that much.
