Default Gt?

How many mods would a 2000 need to beat an ls1 with lid, cutout, tune. He said no spray so that eliminates my 150 shot. What are some good speeds to race from/to. I know for sure he has exhaust.

I'm pretty sure that if you have a strong LS1, he would need forced induction of some sortto stay with you from a roll. I have also seen a few people on here that have head work and cams pushing at or over 300 to the ground. If you get a guy that is geared and full bolt on, he will give you hell from a stop til about when he hits third if you don't have your convertor and then your horsepower advantage will take over. If all he has is exhaust, from a dig or from a roll he is yours quite easily IMO.

I don't ever have any problems with LS1s from a stop but modded ones run pretty close up top. So basically he's screwed if its from 50mph+.

If he has a full exhaust with long tubes, bolt ons, gears, and the car doesn't weigh a ton he's going to give you a good run. Anything less then that though and I'd say you'd have the clear advantage. I'd run him from about 20 or at highway speeds to avoid the A4's dead spots.

You ever see what a properly setup car can do? I'm guessing no...

I personally have run in the 12's with my 02 Auto GT with just bolt-ons and dragradials, so its not impossible.

I've seen a manual tranny GT (pre-05) with bolt ons only (slicks and skinnies too) pull both front wheels. Granted, they didn't come up much...but he hung 'em. Pretty damned impressive if you ask me.

It's the setup and driver mod that gets ya, not the Dyno numbers. A lot of folks with more power have found that out the hard way up here.
