Default th400 conversion, need a tune b/c of different conveter?

i was wondering how my car will run the vig. 9.5 inch 3200 without a tune. i know you should get a tune but will it run like **** without it. im getting the tranny put in next week and I am wondering if i should schedule a tune in the future. it isnt an electronically controlled trans. so i am thinking it wouldnt matter right?

Default

you dont need a tune for the convertor, but you DO need a tune because you need to flash your pcm to think its an M6. With an A4 tune and a th400 your car doesnt know when you put it in gear and you have the timing, rev limiter, fuel enrichment, etc. settings of PARK/NEUTRAL.......not good lol

It wont hurt it to run it like that, but it will run alot better when you tell it its a 6 speed
