Default Master cylinder U bolt...

anyone have an extra one? I'm doing A4 to M6 swap and could use one. If so, would you sell it to me? Or you know where I can get one? THanks.

You can get them from SDPC. I have an extra but the thread ends on one side are not that great. They are about $10 from SDPC.

you don't have to use the ubolt if you don't want to. You can just use two regular bolts with lock washers and nuts. Just in case you can't get one quick enough

What size nuts and lockwashers would I use? Also, do I need a specific bolt? I just got a used master cylinder, and no bolts with it. THanks.

I just took my u-bolt to lowes and measured it there. The correct sized bolts are M8 x 1.25 x 40. I got some nylon nuts for piece of mind.

he probably meant the u-bolt/hydraulics. Just use the bolts I suggested and you will be fine. BTW, the T56 was/is built by Tremec/Borg Warner, not GM.

How is the swap coming along? Mine should be done as soon as I get all the little nuts and bolts together.

ROTFL ... Definately.

After like an hour attempting to figure out how the hell that U-bolt fits back in with all the **** down there that is in the way ... I just went and got 2 bolts and some lock nuts from sears, and was done 5 minutes after I got home with them.

Much better idea.

Swap is going so far so good. I'm just waiting on the money for the actual transmission/bellhousing, but I should have my pedals at my door tomorrow, then after that Sunday will install pedals/hydraullics/clutch then just need to put the tranny in.

I'm also looking for a cheap pro 5.0 shifter. Hopefully a used one somewhere.

Hey guys, I don't want to start anything, but I paid TAgoes11S for the U bolt, back on May 26, it is now May 31. I have sent him a PM every day since I paid him, and haven't heard a reply. If you know him please ask him to email me. I am about to file a paypal complaint. Thank you.
