Default my dennys DS works in 93z and 2kws6 but not 01 ws6

i dont get it, i bought this DS for my 93z 6 speed and it worked fine. i then put it in my 2k ws6 A4 and again it was fine. now i stuck it in my 01 ws6 6 speed and its as far as it can go into the trans. looks like i have no slip, and when i bolted the DS to the rearend i could barely get it to fit in. i had to turn the pinion yoke to get it in. seems the only slip i have is the distance the ujoint caps slip into the pinion yoke. is this a case of every car is different and i need to shorten it? i just test drove it and i have a rumble coming right from the rear of trans when i give it gas.

Moser 12 bolt 1350 yolk upgrade on the rear end has a longer yolk than normal and requires a driveshaft about 1" shorter.

thanks for the response. i had this 12 bolt in my 93z and my 2000 ws6 with the same driveshaft and it fit great. now i have the same 12 bolt in my 2001 ws6 and the ds is too long. i took a measurement and sent a pic to dennys of the ds entering the trans and they say it looks like it need to be shortened. i can see by the band of rust where the seal on my 2000 trans was riding on the ds yolk and im about a half inch past that on this trans. i did find my vibration was a bent axle flange, replaced the axle and all is good now. i still will have to shorten the ds most likely though. kev
