weird thump feeling when shifting from 1-2 (AUTO) when the car shifts from 1-2 its make a thump feeling. Cant be the tranny cause i have a poly urathane mount in there!
think it could be rear?

Do you have lower control arms? Brackets? Sometimes the bolts loosen just enough to cause a thump when the car goes into reverse. If you do have lca's, you need to periodicaly tighten them, especially if you race.
If you don't have a TA cover I would suggest one along with a driveshaft loop.
My freinds car thumped because her pinon? was riding over itself. Does that sound right? The little boot was damaged from her lousey shifting and she nearly dumped her rearend. She hit second and the rev limiter at the same time in an A4!
She had a 95 California camaro. Someone told her she would go faster if she shifted the auto, if may work for them but she didn't have enough seat time to get it right.
