Where did you have your tuning done? Numbers like yours are what make me uneasy about my combo...

Ive got a TSP 231/237 cam, CHS stage II heads milled .030, Mac midlengths, stock TB, and a lid.

When it was tuned MTI could only get 403 hp 376 tq. out of it

Very impressive with your numbers though, I wish I could say the same!

Hey Preston it was good meeting you yesterday, your car looks and sounds amazing!! Gotta love those FM-5's. What kind of gas mileage did you get after the camswap and how did it drive on the way back to Dallas?? Good to see that your enjoying the cam after the tune, keep us posted on track times and trap speeds

see ya!!

man, maybe something is wrong. My 2000 ws6 made 403 with a tr224 and stock heads tuned by mti. You need to get rid of those midlenghs, port your tb, and you might pick up 15-20 rwhp

you people also need to realize that all cars will dyno different #'s for different reasons, no matter what mods you have, same thing as on the track. Just the way it is.

Yes to porting your TB for perhaps 10rwhp, but getting higher peak #'s from an LT vs MACs, i do not think so.
Macs are known to make better peak #'s and LTs provide slightly better trq #'s and HP #'s under the curve.
Of course if you go with the best of best at $1300>1800 with y's (QTP/Kooks)
But that is steep in my book for 10HP or so.
IMO a good set of 5.3L stage 2's would be better bang for the $$.
