In my 67 on the brake i run 10.60 ,without the brake i run 10.80. thats on the motor,on no2 it will go from 9.50s to 9.90s.It makes more of a diff. on a car that dosnt have the suspension set up correctly for drag racing.

Are you saying that a t-brake works better on a car with no suspension mods?

Or did I get what you said mixed up?

No, what i ment was with the susp set up, you can launch almost as good on just the converter. If you go from say a 3500 or 4000 stall to a 5500 and a brake you will notice a big differance.Sorry to be so confusing[sp].To make a brake work well you need enough hp to power out of your launch. You want the wheels to come down nice and easy, not just up and down with the usual bounce.

About 2 tenths for me. Completely stock suspension! Best thing Nick at ARE could have talked me into, outside of the th350.

Thats good info!

Now how do you use a trans brake with nitrous? Do you have the nitrous active while on the brake?

So far for me the benefit has been absolutely nothing. 'Course, the blasted thing has only worked a few times and I don't have a two-step yet (not available for the LS1 yet.) Traction is also more of an issue with the transbrake.

Best to date without it is 9.95 and the best with it is 9.92 (better weather.)

Colonel,

I called blasted MSD about the blastd ignition system for are blasted cars. And they said the blasted thing will be ready sometime this blasted year and that it should allow us to run a blasted two step.

BTW I think the code name for it is "The Stacker"

Chewbacca, this might not help you, but here i go anyway. I use a transbrake in my 68 Nova to tame a radical combination that wouldnt accelerate
off a foot brake without a stumble. In my case its worth as much as half a second! If you were to build an LS1 with say over 265* at .050" cam duration you could relly benefit from having motor full throttle(induction velocity) before leaving. Also need to have reliable drivetrain!
Well these are just my thoughts.

chewbaca,i have a wot switch, and it is hooked to a relay on the t brake wire.So when i am on the brake it kills the power to the no2,when i release the brake ,the wot switch is already on so when the brake comes off , the unit comes on.Makes for some wheels up starts.
