throw in the spacer that came with the clutch behind the slave. if you already put it in and its still not disengauging right, you might need two spacers, what car do you have BTW.....

i have a 99 m6 i had a bad rotational vibration it was bad at 2000 rpm i went and installed a new slave from a 01 i had flywheel machined new throughout bearing and pilot bearing and had the spacer installed behind the slave when i called called spec they told me that i had to have the flywheel balanced to the pressure which is a bunch of crap everything is supposed to be neutrally balanced and when they machine a flywheel they take the same amount off all the way across the whole piece so it is still neutrally balanced so i do not know any more input thanks

Flywheel & clutch are normally ballanced as an assembly i think? Looks like a high spot on the flywheel or not properly aligned? not sure.

Hey I had a simular problem with my 1st STGII as well it looked all most the same but not near as bad. It turned out to be a bad disc- it was bent. That almost looks like what you have as well. I did everything else as well before I recevived a new disc and PP. Replaced slave master and then new disc and pp. Installed it and worked great all the way up to now, Well over 7000 miles. Now went to a bigger clutch.

Just for good measures you might want to pull the FW again and make sure it is sittng flat, nothing behinde it, clean mating surface. It might be some what cocked. If able put a dial indicator on it if you can and check the run out, see if it is turning ture. Can clamp a referance point to the block and place it on the FW and turn it an measure with a feeler gage as well if you dont have a dial indicator.

Good luck

Kind of looks like the pressure plate might not have been torqued down correctly or enough, causing that one hot spot. It would cause a vibration too if you had one. It looks like it was slipping or something wasn't correct with the clutch. Not sure what that blue circle spot is on the clutch forks in the 3rd pressure plate pic, but did something come off the clutch and maybe hit there?? Did you see any extra bolts missing, or anything after you removed it?

I have a friend that had a Spec in his car and the bolts backed out a little and came loose causing the clutch to slip bad. Did you use locktite on the bolts at all? You should use some red locktite to prevent any of them coming loose, etc.

If it's engaging low on the pettle than the pressure plate is not fully disengageing all the way and causing your clutch to keep spinning on the pressure plate and flywheel also it's hard on the trans...
