does TC`s get out of order !! how does it manifest ?
well, it is a weird question ,, need an answer cause i think my torque converter is running bad .. how can i know ? how can i differentiate whether the problem is in the tranny or in the TC ?
story : am using TCI 3200 i had no problems since 2 years but before 2 months the TC is not locking anymore .. i didnt have time so i just ignored it .. later it started to lock again !! WTF ... then it start to slip !! then lock unlock .. lock unlock !! then it refuse to shift !! .. end of story
plz tell me what do u think .. don hesitate

Sounds like TC clutch failure - this is known to happen with TCI's. Hopefully TCC material has not gotten into the tranny and caused major malfunctions. I'd start by dropping the pan and seeing what's in there. If it looks like TCC failure is at the root of this, contact Kevin Winstead on this board and see what he will arrange for you. With a heavy car like yours (GTO over here) a clutch upgrade is recommended.
