Default Tapping the Crank?

I've managed to somehow get a crank with stripped out bolt threads, on the main crank bolt hole. How hard will it be to tap/rethread this hole? I know its way back there, and I don't think I've seen any taps that long before...

Sounds like another "too long of a bolt crank". Not sure if you can safely re-tap the crank. I would be worried when you have to torque the crank bolt at 240 ft lbs.

I did it almost a year ago, been running strong ever since.

Had a local machine shop tap it while the motor was in the car.
